Beautiful solid 18k gold locket with a faceted ruby at its center.
The locket has a textured surface, making its design quite unusual and unique. At the center a natural ruby is bead set in a four points star inlay.
Details:
The exact date when the locket was manufactured is not known. It had two layers of pictures inside, two black and white antique pictures, and two additional pictures from the 70s on top. The locket could date from the 1920s based on the older pictures inside.
The locket is stamped near the jump ring with maker mark and gold purity stamp.
Condition:
The locket is in excellent condition. It has one tiny dent at the front visible in the photos and video, none at the back. It opens from the top, and shuts tightly with a snap. Inside there were no rings initially, the pictures are held thanks to a little step at the inner edge.
