Beautiful antique band from Scandinavia.
The ring features three rubies and four old cut diamonds. They are set in an ornate solid high carat gold setting with fine details on both side of the ring's front. The ring shoulders are also engraved.
The ring would make a lovely engagement ring, an everyday wear ring, could be worn alone or stacked with other bands.
Details:
This ring dates from the early 20th century. It was imported in Sweden and was stamped with the Swedish three crown hallmark for imported pieces: three crowns, a striated background + an oval frame is a hallmark for foreign pieces imported in Sweden.
The gold purity hallmark is interesting: 765 for 76.5% gold which is a rare one. The most common is 750 for 18k gold. There are some information online stating the 765 hallmark was discontinued in 1913, but it is difficult to find an official statement from that era. The style of the ring matches the late Victorian / early Edwardian time period, so it is likely to be from the 1900s.
Condition:
The ring is in very good antique condition with light wear to the stones and some thinning of the shank at the back, please inspect the photos.
