Spectacular Square-shaped antique rose cut diamond ring in gold and platinum.
The ring features five large rose cut diamonds arranged in a cross, and twelve additional smaller rose cut diamonds at the corners. The diamonds are set in platinum. The five large one are bezel-set with a milgrain border, and the twelve smaller ones are bead set. The shank is made of 18k yellow gold.
The ring was made at the junction between Art Nouveau and Art Deco era, circa 1915.

The ring was made in France in the 1910s. It is crafted in 18k solid yellow gold and platinum. It is stamped with the Eagle's head, French hallmark for 18k solid gold, the
Dog's head, French hallmark for platinum, and the maker mark, "poinçon de maître", a triangle with maker mark's logo inside.
In the zoomed-in picture, you can see in this order: the maker mark, the Dog's head (it is flipped 90°), and the Eagle's head.
Condition:
The ring is in excellent Antique condition. The diamonds have some inclusions as detailed in the measurement section.

3) Twelve smaller diamonds at the corners: between 2 and 3mm diameter each (0.05carats)
Total diamond carat weight approximately 1.75carats.

The customer has to be aware when buying an Antique diamond ring that the diamonds are frequently imperfect: the hand-cutting result in imperfect symmetry and they contain inclusions. It is part of the charm of an Antique piece and contributes to make each piece special and unique.
