Timeless Art Nouveau French Chain in 18k solid gold. It is made of thirteen elegant oval links. Inside each link, a fancy swirly wire has been soldered. The wires are textured with milgrain, which contributes to making this piece a wonder of intricate details.
If you are looking for a piece that can be worn with any outfit, kept forever, and will never lose value (actually, likely only gain value in time), it may be an excellent choice. It is great for layering with other necklaces, worn alone, or also to hang a pendant on it as shown on third picture. The horn pendant is also available and sold separately.
Details:
The chain dates from 1900s, Art Nouveau era, and is a typical French design. Such chains were often made very long, more than a meter. That piece has likely been separated to be worn has a single strand necklace. It is stamped with the Owl French hallmark for 18k gold. It also has a lozenge stamp, possibly a maker mark.

It is in perfect antique condition, with no flaw to note.
