Beautiful Scandinavian ring in 18k Yellow Gold with a Clear Quartz Cabochon.
The cabochon is bezel set with a milgrain border, a type of setting which requires gold smithing skills compared to the widespread modern prong settings. The mount has an elaborate design and intricate details to the shoulders.
In crystal healing, clear quartz is believed to amplify energy, thoughts, and the effects of other crystals. It's often considered a master healer, used to balance and align the body's energy.
Details:
The ring was manufactured in 1956. It can be accurately defined thanks to the year letter "F9" stamped inside the shank. F9 corresponds to 1956 in the Swedish hallmark system. It also bears the maker mark, the Swedish three crowns, and the gold purity stamp "18k".
Condition:
The ring is in very good vintage condition, with gentle surface wear and scratches to the gold setting. The stone had some wear when I acquired it, my goldsmith did a gentle polish which restored its glow. However it is not a completely smooth surface, please inspect the photos and watch the two videos.
