Vintage Augis medal with a rare design, crafted in 18k gold with diamond and rubies.
Augis medals are an iconic staple of French jewelry. That one is special by its size and variety of intricate details: the background of the front is finely structured to provide a matte rendering, it has a textured frame, and around it another frame featuring 8 rubies and little arches.
We've got the ever-growing love message "Plus qu'hier moins que demain," meaning "More than yesterday, less than tomorrow," at the center, embellished with one diamond in the +, and three square rubies in the -. At the bottom the two letters "AA", Augis brand's signature.
The back is plain and could be engraved.

The pendant is vintage from the 1960s. It is stamped with the French hallmark for 18-carat gold, the eagle head at three locations: at the bottom of the medal, at the top loop, and at the bale. It also bears the maker mark "AA" and the goldsmith stamp A in a lozenge at the bottom of the medal and at the top loop: please see zoomed-in pictures.
Condition:
This pendant is in excellent vintage condition, with no flaw to note at the front and micro scratches at the back.
It does not come with a chain, if you need one please reach out.
