Beautiful Perpignan Garnet pendant in 18k Gold.
The pendant features a substantial pear-shaped Garnet in a deep red color, that is enhanced thanks to the foiled-back setting. The design with foil back + triangular prongs is typical of the French part of Catalonia in the South West of France near the Spanish border. The pendant was manufactured there.
Details:
The pendant is stamped with the eagle head French hallmark for 18k Gold at the top loop. It is also stamped with the goldsmith mark, "poinçon de maître", please see zoomed-in picture.
Condition:
This pendant is in excellent vintage condition, with no flaw to note.
It comes with the new 45cm / 18" chain shown in the last picture.
