Amazing Victorian English Locket with beautiful details.
Each side is hand-engraved in high precision. On one side three buttercup flowers with their stem and leaves, and on the other side a blank cartouche in a floral surrounding. The intention may have been to leave space for initials to be added in the blank cartouche.
Details:
The locket is not stamped and made of 9ct gold back and front, which is the classical construction of English Antique lockets.
Condition:
It is in very good antique condition, with some gentle surface wear and scratches. Inside the two original photos frames are present. There is a small gap between the two facets when the locket is closed (see pic), but it stays closed.
This listing is for the locket alone without a chain.
